The Golden One

Numbers are also the language of harmony. Whether in the field of painting, in architecture or in the world of sounds, people have tried to express harmony in the language of numbers. The throne of beauty in the visual field is based on a wonderful number: the golden number.

 

                       is one of the two roots of the equation                            . 

 

The decimal value of this number is 1.618. Wherever people look, they want to see this number. From Egyptian pyramids or Greek architecture to Raffaello, Leonardo da Vinci, Poussin and Cezanne and even Le Corbusier… Moreover, this number is very ingenious; it can be exemplified a lot of how convenient it is to represent the event. This makes the number remarkable and explains the admiration of the people. When you split a line into two section, you get the golden ratio when the longer part (a) divided by the smaller part (b) equals the number of their sum (a+b) divided by the longer part (a).
